Andrew B. Moncur
Chairman
25 years as a results driven leader focusing on business start-ups, growth and forward thinking strategy.
I am an enabler who brings a wealth of experience to help boards in the Energy Sector (This sector includes companies involved in the exploration and development of oil or gas reserves, geothermal, oil and gas drilling and refining, or integrated power utility companies including renewable energy and coal) to ensure collective strategic decision making and communication to help them go in the direction they envisage.
I provide independent advice and challenge to ensure effective long-term oversight of the affairs of the business with NED skills such as governance, integrity, judgement, stakeholder relationship skills, business acumen and political sensitivity.
I can demonstrate a successful track record of adding tangible shareholder value to privately owned, pre-IPO & Venture Capital / Private Equity funded SME Energy sector businesses. I have gained significant experience with securing and managing Clients & Teams across the UK, Middle East, Caspian and CIS.
I enjoy an “engaged” transformational management style and hold significant global experience in start-ups, turnaround crisis management, operational process improvements, sales & marketing leadership.
Azar Azizov
Non Executive Director
Oil and Gas Industry professional with over 21 years of experience. He is currently acting as a Senior Investment Manager at Wintershall Dea Technology Ventures GmbH, the corporate venture capital arm of the Wintershall Dea, the leading independent European gas and oil exploration and production company.
Past experience includes Global Category Management of Directional Drilling and Wireline Services at Wintershall Dea. Previously with Baker Hughes, the global leader in oilfield services, holding various roles in the Drilling and Evaluation division including MWD Engineer, Technical Advisor, Drilling Engineer and Product Manager of Downhole Drilling Motors. Azar is OASIS-Certified Drilling Applications Engineer in Performance Drilling and earned BSc and MSc degrees in Computer Science (Automated Control Systems) from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. He is an author and co-author of 15 technical papers.
Carl A Hassan
Non Executive Director
Carl has held senior leadership positions in large blue chip and Nasdaq organisations, where he successfully ran large-scale operations and transformation programmes. Carl has worked within some of the largest brands and innovative start-ups in Europe, Asia, US and Africa. Over the last 20 years Carl has helped clients gain a deep understanding of the drivers needed to effect sustainable transformational change in their organisations thus allowing them to unleash their potential. Carl was also a founding partner of several renewable energy projects in Rwanda and sits on the board of a local CIC Café that delivered over 10,000 meals to the most vulnerable people in the community during the pandemic. Carl earned an MBA in Energy and Sustainability, from Cumbria University and is a Member of the Renewable Energy Institute.
Jason Henry
Managing Director
Jason Henry is a proven business leader with over 37 years’ experience supporting a range of manufacturing, service and extractive industry enterprises including large turnover corporations through to ‘start-up’ SME’s. He has significant experience in strategic development & implementation; operations; marketing and sales; organisational development as well as process & change management. He has experience at board level, VP and Global Director roles demonstrating strong leadership, coaching and motivational expertise in team environments.
Jason was educated at Leeds University, UK, where he received an MSc. (With Distinction) in Mineral Industry Operations, Design & Management. Prior to this, he studied at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK, where he attained a BSc. (Hons) in Geological Sciences. Mr. Henry also holds an Advanced Certificate in Marketing from DeMontfort University, Leicester, UK.
